About Prolume
Founded in 1994 Prolume has, from the start, provided high performing and custom lighting fixtures for demanding applications. Since the early advent of LED technology the company has focused on custom LED fixtures that resolve the most complex lighting challenges encountered by specifiers and architects. Prolume LED products have been deployed in the most demanding outdoor applications such as building facades and bridges and within museums, churches, restaurants. It is testament to the reliability of Prolume products, always assembled in the US, that they are continuing to provide light and are functioning today, many years after original installation.
In January 2016, as a result of collaborating for over twelve years on numerous projects that focused upon new product development and custom LED fixtures, Prolume was acquired by LEDdynamics.
In April 2025, Prolume Lighting was acquired by 3LED, Inc (www.3led.com) as part of its acquisition of LEDdynamics and LEDSupply. 3LED Inc. is a privately held LED technology company located in Woburn, Massachusetts, a short drive from downtown Boston. 3LED Group of companies also contains Fusion Optix, a specialist LED optics manufacturer and Xico Lighting, an LED lighting solutions provider. All 3LED products are also designed and manufactured in the USA.
